The MINUTEMAN MBK-E Series is a competitively priced line of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) that provides complete protection from electrical problems - spikes, surges, sags, brownouts, and blackouts. Both the MINUTEMAN MBK550E and MBK750E units are amazingly compact and, for all the power protection packed inside, take up little space on the desktop or under a console. Both units provide an ample power source for a computer, monitor, and other attached devices with four (4) battery backup outlets with surge protection and two (2) surge-only outlets. Each unit also includes protection for either a network or a phone line to keep damaging AC surges and spikes from entering through those pathways.
Robust features found on more expensive models
Each MBK-E model features built-in Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) technology to boost incoming AC during low voltage situations, preserving vital battery backup power for blackouts, and extending the life of the batteries. In addition, each model includes Independent Battery Bypass which allows the MBK-E to provide AVR and surge and spike protection with weak or even dead batteries without dropping the load from utility AC power. Both input and output voltage ranges for AC mode are user-adjustable via dip switches on the back of each MBK-E model. On-battery voltage can be set to a steady 120 or 127 volts.
Power management software offers full control*
Install the included MINUTEMAN SentryII power management and diagnostic software onto a workstation or server to gain complete control over monitoring and managing the UPS using a convenient Web browser-based interface. SentryII allows both scheduled and unattended graceful shutdown of a computer, user-configurable responses to power events, and automatic notification of events via e-mail, network, or pager.
